The city of Moscow is best admired from above. If you are looking for a place in Moscow to look at it from a bird view I strongly recommend you to try out the Panorama 360 observation deck.
It is located on the 89th floor of the Federation tower and it is not only the highest observation point in Moscow and Russia, but also in Europe. As the name already suggests it is a round platform so Moscow can be seen from all sides. The fast elevators will make sure that you arrive on the platform in less than one minute and right after you step out an amazing view of Moscow will unfold right before your eyes.
The observation deck also offers a variety of entertainment for all age categories. You will get the chance to eat as much free ice cream as you want from the probably most unique ice cream factory while seeing all of the stages of the ice cream production. Another highlight is the restaurant. Guests will definitely be impressed by the breathtaking view while enjoying their food. The deck also offers a virtual 3D exhibition with a projection show. During these 3 minutes of the show visitors will learn about the history of Moscow and an interactive guide will inform you about interesting places in the city. If you want to buy any souvenirs you can do so in their own shop (you will find some really cute passport covers there!).
A tip I want to give you is to buy your tickets online in advance as you will get a discount. The tickets are categorised in morning (10-13) and daytime tickets (13-22). The morning ticket is offered online for 800 rubles while the daytime ticket costs 1080 rubles. I suggest you to definitely make use of that discount and try to buy your tickets online in advance to save some coins. If you have your tickets it’s up to you how much time you spend on the observation deck as it is there is no time limit.
One highlight especially is if you try to go there when the sun is setting to experience the day as well as the night. Be aware though that during bad weather there is the possibility of fog (as you will be closer to the sky than usual) and therefore a limited view.
How to get there
The most convenient way is to take the metro. Exit the station Vystavochnaya on the line 4 and choose the exit that will lead you to the Afimall where the ticket office is located on the 2nd floor between the clothing stores Marks&Spencer and H&M. If you already have bought your tickets online, I suggest you to go straight to the Federation Tower which is Right next to the Afimall.
