The fashion industry is very diverse. Some designers focus their creativity on outfits seen on the catwalk, but some others offer more down to earth affordable options that can be easily found in the city of St. Petersburg. If you want to discover Russia’s fashion I invite you to take a look at some of the many showrooms in the city.
Located in the lively New Holland island, this showroom will captivate you from the very moment you step in. In the shop, you will find clothes and accessories designed by talented Russian designers. When selecting the brands they sell, they pay attention to both design and the quality of the garment itself.
Occasionally they also prepare fashion show performances and special photo projects. These, together with the support the shop gives to local designers have a great positive impact on the local fashion industry.
Unlike most of the showrooms listed here, the clothes sold in this place are mainly designed for men in quite a casual urban style. They sell only one brand, Mendooza. You can see all the designs here.
The story of Medooza began in 2012 when founders Ivan and Alexey, two young guys with the freedom-loving and rebellious spirit of rock n’ roll flowing through their veins, decided to create a fashion brand focused around the perfect trifecta of Freedom, Creativity, and Individuality. The guiding philosophies of the men’s and women’s collections are “Beyond the Ordinary”, extraordinary attention to detail and the refusal to compromise when it comes to quality. Both the brand and its founders are always changing and growing, which makes it exciting and worth following! Get yourself something cool online or by visiting their flagship store.
The shop started in 2012 in St. Petersburg when the founder of the brand, Andrew Kravtsov starting designing and sowing raincoats. They have showrooms offering clothes designed in Russia in different cities, including Milan and Berlin. This is probably the perfect place to find a good coat to spend your winter in St. Petersburg if you really value quality and you like minimalism and practical design.
Conveniently located in Marata street, this shops offers fashion lovers the opportunity to find something more exclusive than most of the chain shops that can be found in town. As they do in other showrooms, they support Russian designers, so that’s what you will find: a nice selection of garments created by Russian creative minds. All of them very nicely displayed in an open and modern space. The clothes rotate quite fas, but you can check the clothes available on their website before paying the shop a visit.
